In 1977 to 1978, I was a deckie learner sailing out of Aberdeen. I sailed on a number of side trawlers and then did a couple of trips on the Fleetwood stern trawler Collena FD221. A few years ago, I was looking for a photograph of Collena on Facebook. The picture submitted appeared and I thought that looks about the time I was onboard. On closer examination, I was amazed to see myself standing on the starboard side. I am the one on blue.
