Who we are
Fishing Lives (fishinglives.com) is a free public archive of fishing boats and communities.

What we collect
When you join we store your name, email address and the content you submit (boats, photographs, captions and memories). We store standard server logs for security.

Why we collect it
To run your account, moderate and publish submissions, credit contributors, and contact you about your submissions.

Contributor profiles
If you have published contributions, your display name and your contributions appear on a public contributor profile page. Your email address is never displayed anywhere.

Photographs
Uploaded photographs are resized and all hidden camera metadata (including GPS location and device details) is removed before storage. The untouched original file is not kept.

What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not display your email address publicly.

Cookies
We use cookies needed for login and site function. If analytics or advertising cookies are added later, this policy will be updated first.

Your rights
From your account page you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account, and you can edit or withdraw any submission that is still awaiting approval. Published photographs you contributed can be removed on request via the Copyright Takedown Request page.
