Contributor and Copyright Terms

When you submit a photograph or information to Fishing Lives:

1. You keep your copyright. Contributing does not transfer ownership.
2. You confirm you own the photograph or have permission from the owner to publish it.
3. You grant Fishing Lives a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display the photograph and information on fishinglives.com and to use it to promote the archive (for example in social media previews), always with your credit.
4. You can ask for your contribution to be removed at any time via the Copyright Takedown Request page.
5. Credits: we display the photographer or source you supply. If you don’t know the photographer, say so — “photographer unknown, from the collection of…” is fine.
6. Do not submit photographs downloaded from other websites, books or archives unless you hold the rights or clear written permission.
7. Submissions are moderated and may be edited for clarity, spelling and house style.
